Race Report – Prix des Jumelages, Vire – Matt Langworthy

MDCC / MDCC Admin

It had been two years since I had last raced at Vire in Northern France where I got dropped every stage. I went with the aim of hanging in for as long as possible whereas this year I went with the aim of being a contender. We arrived the day before the first stage and went […]

Race Report – Julian Pittoco – Westpoint 2/3/4 3rd at 50…!!

MDCC / MDCC Admin

Westpoint 2/3/4 3rd at 50…!! With the conditions being dry and warm for the race, there was a good entry for Westpoint’s season curtain closer. .Like many others, I really enjoy the circuit. With fast flowing corners and a short hill, it feels a bit like a road circuit without the cars… I wasn’t sure

Race Report – Conrad smashes his first 100 mile TT

MDCC / MDCC Admin

Welsh 100 mile champs At the end of 2015 I proclaimed I would ride a 100 mile time trial. This was something that I’d previously said repeatedly to Andy Perkins, that I’d never do, and that if he ever heard me talking about it he was to put me straight. Through the winter I had

Velopark 2/3 Cat 25/08/16  This was the last Velopark race of the summer season, promoted by CS South Hams.  I had to attend a corporate dinner in London for work the night before, so was going to skip it, however I managed to get the train back for 5:30.  Since I’d needed to get a

Race Report – Maiden win for Ashley Kent

Scones… In the lead up to the 4th Cat Velopark race I’ve been putting in a lot more hours on the bike, along with a little less food consumption than normal. The reason? Clicking that submit button on the Canyon website! With the thought of a new bike delivery dispatch date of 4 weeks, which

Race Report – Harry Loader 2nd at Westpoint

MDCC / MDCC Admin

Westpoint 3/4 Crit – 16th August – 2nd place I rode over to Westpoint with Mark Sanders, leaving in what we thought would give us a decent amount of time to get there, however we’d misjudged our timings and arrived with just 20 minutes to spare. After pinning our numbers on and a quick trip

Race Report – Yeovil CC ’10 TT’

MDCC / MDCC Admin

Yeovil CC ’10’ from Andy Perkins  Sarah Lakey, Harrison Wood and me travelled up to the U30/10 course at Podimore near Yeovilton.  Conditions looked pretty good stood in the car park warming up – but didn’t translate into fast times on the course as we had hoped.  There was virtually no wind on Sunday morning,

Race Report – Conrad wins at Cwmcarn Paragon 25 – USK

MDCC / MDCC Admin

“Cutting it fine in more ways than one” The R25/7 at USK is nice. It’s an honest course, a bit like the S4, and needs to be worked at the whole way round. I’d ridden this event last year and got 2nd, but had a poor ride due to the heat, and very quick dehydration.
