Mid Devon CC New Jersey Design – Now official!

It’s official – the new kit has been registered with British Cycling and has now been adopted as the Clubs Race Kit.

Monday 8th May saw a mammoth turn out for the free Jersey giveaway to Dartmoor Classic volunteers where nearly 200 Jerseys were distributed to members. The Dartmoor Classic through its rewards and recognition scheme funded the mass giveaway to Club members.

Another part of the opportunity that the Dartmoor Classic presents is the Club Rider Support Program. One of the principle aims of the Rider Support program (funded by the Dartmoor Classic) is to support up and coming Youth and Junior riders to test themselves against the best in the UK.  Pictured are the 2017 Mid Devon CC Junior Team who have all achieved significant success in the season to date. From left to Right. Joe Saunders recently 5th in Totnes Vire Stage 2 and 17th in the Belgian Harelbeke Classic. Steven Jones who came 2nd in Primavera and 6th in the Brentor Road Race. Harrison Wood who was 7th in the E/1/2 Chitterne Classic and the winner of Primavera. Louie Priddle 2nd at the Modbury Spring Road Race at winner of the inaugural SWLaw Velopark Criterium.

The Mid Devon CC has a long and proud tradition of bringing riders through the ranks to experience national level racing.  Over the past few years we have had many great riders who have proved that they among the best in the country: Tom Baylis, James Davey, Charlie Meredith, Matt Langworthy and more. Before that John Locke, Yanto Barker, Jez Hunt and a host of others. In future years Joe, Steve, Harrison and Louie may be among the alumni that future generations look up to and the process continues onward.
