Gorrick MTB XC Jamie and Grace Ward

Father and Daughter Duo. Grace and Jamie Ward started their season last weekend at the Gorrick MTB XC Spring Series RD 1 at Frimley Green.

Grace got her season off to a flier taking the win, she reports “A good start to the season on a really technical course, super twisty and rooty but lots of fun to ride”

Also there was her Dad Jamie who came 7th in his field, Jamie says “It’s good to start the season and blow the cobwebs out, this was a course which demanded respect, super technical and fast flowing, no big climbs but energy sapping stuff, looking forward to the next round “

National trophy series…5 rounds..3500 miles..5 overnights. Podium at each round including 2 wins…and overall series winner!! European cyclocross championships Venice….silver 2nd place!! 8 day trip!! Worlds in Mol..10th place.  South west champion Taunton. Will attend both British Masters championships in the midlands and BC national championships at Shrewsbury.  First national title for me at any level!!
