EWCC Four Firs Time Trial – 4/4 Wins for Conrad Moss

Near biblical conditions were the order of the day for the 4 Firs Hilly Time Trial, run near Exeter and climbing over Woodbury Common on Sunday. It was touch and go if the event would be run with heavy rain, 30 mph winds and gusts in excess of 40 mph on parts of the course.

The clubs Conrad Moss was aiming to go 1 better than last year, and is partial to tough conditions. Like many riders Conrad had a few small challenges with the volume of traffic on the course, but blasted round in a rapid 32.40 to take the win by over 2 minutes, lowering the course record by 40 seconds and taking his 4th win from 4 starts this season. Lee Sanderson took a hard fought 3rd in 35.01 and backed up by Ian Cullens 35.56 the club took the team honours. Mark Sanders also finished in the top 10 with his 36.53, James Tribble was 18th in 38.28, Dominic Start finished in 42.42, Sarah Lakey 46.43 and Diccon Haynes 47.16.
